Mayerli Collantes Cook is a mixed media artist from Evanston, IL who graduated from Bard College with a BA in Studio Arts and Psychology in 2025.
During her studies she spent a formative semester in Berlin where she expanded her practice through glassblowing, advanced painting, and collaborative work with fellow artists. Her work is rooted in process-based making, using labor-intensive techniques such as sewing to transform discarded materials into abstract pieces. While her recent work focuses on recycled materials, her practice remains open and continues to extend beyond any single medium.
